This link (https://tinyurl.com/55h24hrm) is to an article/podcast titled Richard III: Hero or villain? by Chris Skidmore. All sorts of very promising noises are made about Richard’s early life, reputation in the north, fierce loyalty to Edward IV etc., but then it says Richard “seized” the throne. So I don’t quite know what to expect from the complete podcast, although Chris Skidmore does not have a pro- Richard reputation.
Our blog has covered a Skidmore podcast about Richard before, in 2020 (https://murreyandblue.co.uk/2020/08/30/richard-iii-and-the-dirty-tudors/), and I don’t know if there’s anything new and different about Richard himself in the new one .
Will this latest podcast be worth our attention? There’s only one way to find out, and that’s by giving it a go. But it says you have to be a HistoryExtra member to view it, and I don’t know what that entails.
