I saw an advertisement on Facebook for a War of the Roses tour and so I looked into it further. It looks interesting, including sites of interest such as Bosworth Field, Warwick Castle and York, luxury travel and accommodation, authentic local experiences and it lasts eleven days.
This is what they say in the ad:
‘Follow the story of the Wars of the Roses through the castles, cathedrals and medieval landscapes where England’s greatest dynastic conflict unfolded.
‘Our small-group 2027 journey explores the world of Richard III, the Houses of York and Lancaster, with expert historical guidance, carefully selected accommodation and an itinerary designed for people who want a deeper understanding of the history and the places where it unfolded.’
However, it’s a bit pricey at over $8,000 for a single person! At first I thought it’s aimed at Americans and must include air travel to and from the UK, which would make it a bit better, but it doesn’t!
