Well, this article (https://www.wisbechstandard.co.uk/news/26653998.6-locations-cambridgeshire-royal-connections/) about “royal” places in Cambridgeshire mentions the birthplace of Richard III, but when it comes to the actual text, all it it says about Fotheringhay is that Mary, Queen of Scots was buried in Peterborough Cathedral “… after her execution at Fotheringhay in 1587…’”
Right. Where’s Richard? Nowhere except in the sub-heading. Only Mary, Queen of Scots, gets a look-in. Hey-ho….
So let’s right the wrong. Here’s a link to an interesting article that really does put Richard III and the history of Fotheringhay together, and from which I’ve presumed to take the image above. https://www.essentially-england.com/fotheringhay-castle.html
