Here (https://tinyurl.com/mrynu37) is a beautifully illustrated history of 700-year-old Warwick Castle, courtesy of the magazine Country Life, which can be relied upon to produce magnificent articles.
The story of this amazing stronghold begins with William the Conqueror in 1068, and passed on through an awesome list of monarchs: William Rufus, Henry I, Henry II, Henry III, Edward II, Queen Isabella and Mortimer, Richard III, Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. No doubt there are more, because Warwick has been at the centre of events throughout its life.
