Well, dang, I found out about this film premiere on the morning of the event! A little late to attempt to acquire a ticket, make arrangements and then hie me to Warwick Castle by 7.30 pm. Oh dear, and I had exactly £136.14 to spare on just such an event.
Anyway, the film itself (about Richard III’s first battle at Barnet) is called A Taste of Loyalty, and sounds very promising. Another film that doesn’t depict Richard in the Shakespearean mould can only be a good thing.

Thomas Dennis is, of course, the actor who voiced Richard recently, when it was revealed the king probably had a Yorkshire accent. You can read about him here: https://murreyandblue.co.uk/2025/04/12/an-interview-with-thomas-dennis/ and you can hear him speaking some of Richard’s known words here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx2nr9we821o
Or the whole thing here:
Anyway, missing the premiere isn’t the be-all and end-all of the matter, and now we hunker down for its further release so we can all get to see it!
