The delights within the King Richard III restaurant in Scarborough….

The pub/restaurant’s name is, of course, derived from our king’s connection with the building. He was there in 1484. Ricardians are certainly familiar with the building. Of course, we haven’t all been able to visit it in person, so I’m sure that those of us who haven’t will be very interested in reading the article to be found here.

The author, Samantha Teasdale, most certainly enjoyed the feast set before her, and is most lavish with her praise of the building, the staff, the menu, the wonders produced by the kitchens and so on. So I think the KRIII in Scarborough can pat itself on the back, so to speak.

  1. My wife and I were there at the beginning of the month, we popped in for a swift pint and a cream tea after coming to Scarborough to visit the Nao Victoria which was moored opposite the pub. I must admit I had not heard about the pub before our visit but how could one resist a visit after seeing it’s name.
