I’ve written before about stage versions of Josephine Tey’s wonderful novel The Daughter of Times, and now I’m delighted to say that the production at the Charing Cross Theatre has opened: “….This new play, based on Josephine Tey’s acclaimed crime novel, opens tonight [24 July 2025] at the Charing Cross Theatre and will run for a strictly limited engagement until September 13, 2025. A Gala Press Night is scheduled for July 25, coinciding with what would have been Tey’s 129th birthday….”

It looks like a splendid recreation of the 1950s hospital setting, and I really do hope the play is a resounding success.
