Even south of the border we know about Robert the Bruce, and why those north of the border are proud of him. But what did he look like? Since the reconstruction of Richard III’s face after the discovery of his remains, there have been numerous other such models. Now “….To mark the 750th anniversary of Robert the Bruce’s birth, a new 3D model – produced from a cast of his skull – will be displayed to the public for the first time at Dunfermline Abbey….”
I have to say that it’s very lifelike. Frighteningly so, and I think the little girl in the photograph below is being exceedingly brave! Just imagine if the Bruce winked at her. 😉

You can read all about the model here https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx023de3vkqo here https://www.themirror.com/news/uk-news/robert-the-bruce-3d-model-622754 and here https://www.historicenvironment.scot/about-us/news/come-face-to-face-with-scotland-s-hero-king/.
And in many other places too, I’m sure, but I’ve stopped at three.
