  1. It is intriguing that she was burned. Witchcraft in England at that time was not capital, so I can only think she was held to be guilty of treason (probably) or heresy.

    When witchcraft became capital, under the Tudors, witches were hanged, not burnt.

    1. Indeed, this was a treason case, as she is supposed to have forecast Henry VI’s death. It wasn’t a Scottish or continental case.
