Here’s a little more about the US production of the Shakespeare Richard – the one with lead actor, Michael Patrick Thornton, performing from a wheelchair. The author of the article does at least acknowledge that the real Richard did not look like the Bard’s creation, but suffered from scoliosis that would not have been evident when he was dressed, and did not prevent him from wielding an effective sword.
