“…Josephine Tey, a beloved Scottish crime writer, is poised to join the esteemed ranks of women honored on the Mapping Memorials to Women in Scotland map….”

Well, what more need be said? Tey redeemed Richard III at a time when he was definitely regarded as the awful creature conjured by More, Shakespeare and the truly awful House of Tudor. I read The Daughter of Time and thanks to her was driven to learn all I could about Richard. That Christmas I was given a copy of Paul Murray Kendall’s biography of him and now have a collection of works. I’ve even written historical novels about him. So I can claim to be one of the legion of dedicated supporters Richard III has acquired around the world.

Ms Tey well deserves her Scottish accolade! To read more about it go here.

I found the discovery and identification of King Richard so wonderful, amazing and unbelievable, that I live in hope of more undeniable evidence being found, at some point, that will once and for all lay the fate of the two missing kids to rest, forever. My copy of Tey is precious to me, as it was a gift from our chief librarian. I stand to be surprised if she is proved wrong … and I hope she isn’t.
