Thank you for this article, including the lovely photos. The almshouses in both Warwick and Winchester are stunning, and had me itching to go and visit them! I did already know quite a bit about almshouses as there are some not far from where I live, but the explanation was really good. I think these buildings look exceptional, and are by far the most beautiful I’ve seen.
