from the Lost London article referenced below

I guess the Lost London site doesn’t like Richard. If there’s something fictitiously bad to be said about him, here’s where you’ll find it stated as fact.

This article is reasonably informative about the history of the Supreme Court, but also contains a load of anti-Richard tosh! So don’t bother if you’re in a good mood. If you’re in a bad mood already, well, it’s up to you if you want to feel worse!

The trouble is that constant launching into Richard-bashing makes me wonder if the rest of the article can be relied upon. Having read in another post from the site that Elizabeth Woodville was “queen in her own right” and which also goes for Richard’s jugular, I think a salt-pinch dispenser is advisable. Or avoid the site altogether.

  1. Viscountessw, well, not surprised! about 2 years ago I found Lost London (the website) when I first started hunting details on London’s intriguing (to me) changing street names (I soon found Harben, Ekwall, and Stowe and didn’t need sites like ‘LL’) – what I found with the site was their info was hopelessly muddled, to the point of worthless.

Sadly, clickbait comes in all forms.

    1. I too found the site some time ago, and may even have recommended it (can’t remember now) but since then I’ve happened upon the usual inaccuracies and downright lies about Richard. This time it was just too much. I intend to have a go at the site every time I come upon something similar. Not that it will make the slightest bit of difference, but I’ll certainly feel better!

      1. actually negative feedback does help, unless they decide to turn off replies lol (as some media sites are wont to do!) They can’t live on clickbait alone, and if the negatives continue they can simply censor them (ie. your, and other, reviews and comments never existed) or will someday happen, they do have to ‘revise’ their egregious errors, just shut down that reader comment response option altogether. I will take that as a victory.
