Here is a short but interesting article about the time Richard and George are thought to have spent with their sister Margaret in St Omer in the summer of 1475.

    I’ve often though of what it would be like for Richard to come back today, and see most of the world he knew in ruins.

    miniminisnell – Would we want to stay in the 21st century, with all its comforts and advantages? Or join Richard in his time machine and zip back to the 15th century….?

      I certainly wouldn’t mind a quick trip to the 15th Century. Lovely to visit, but I wouldn’t want to live there.

      I do appreciate modern comforts and advantages. In many ways we live better than the royalty of centuries past.

      I suppose hundreds of years from now, people will feel the same about our time.

      Speaking of time travel – Have you read “Doomsday Book” by Connie Willis? If not, I recommend it.
