Um, I don’t think Edward III and the Black Prince are Renaissance, but the book might be interesting. Perhaps it more concerns the build-up to Renaissance warfare?

“Renaissance” is rather general. As with most eras, boundaries are indistinct. I have read works holding we should start “Renaissance” in 1278, when Petrarch climbed a mountain simply to sightsee; and end in 1616 with Shakespeare’s death.
I think we could see the re-interest in the Classical, Antiquity authors as under way before 1300. So, ok, I can consider the Hundred Years Wars as being during the Renaissance.
